The beginning
MactanDoc’s 25 years started with the idea of CDG founder Dr. Larrabal Jr. to construct a hospital that could meet the health needs of the people in Mactan and its neighboring areas. On March 12, 1991, an organizational meeting was held to lay down the plans. Few months later or August 5 of the same year, the actual construction began. Fast forward to December 19, 1992, MactanDoc was already able to provide outpatient services and on August 22, 1993, the dream ohaving a medical center in Mactan was finally materialized. A day after, the hospital opened its doors to patients. To date, MactanDoc implements a three-phase hospital expansion.
