The Laboratory Department has acquired a NEW TECHNOLOGY in its Urinalysis Procedures:

  • SYSMEX
  • UF-500i
  • URINE FLOW CYTOMETRY

ADVANTAGES OF URINE FLOW CYTOMETRY

  • Standardization of the whole microscopic process
  • Improved precision of measurement
  • Reduction of laboratory “hands-on” time
  • Provides quantitative results of uncentrifuged (native) urine for RBC, WBC, EC, Cast, Bacteria
  • Gives RBC information for origin of hematuria
  • Efficient screening of bacteriuria
  • With QC to ensure accurate results
